Following a horrific crash in central west New South Wales, one woman has died and four others are still in the hospital.
At approximately 2:00 PM yesterday, an SUV in the northbound lane and a ute travelling southward collided near Aarons Pass, south of Mudgee, resulting in the need for emergency services to be dispatched.
Six injured people were discovered. Critically injured, a 32-year-old lady was discovered in the SUV’s front passenger seat.
Following her hospitalisation, she passed away.
Serious injuries were sustained by the 34-year-old driver of the SUV and the 68-year-old man riding in the front seat of the truck.
The two girls, ages two and six, who were in the SUV’s backseat were brought to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
The girls’ conditions are stable, according to the police.
The 54-year-old ute driver was brought to Mudgee Hospital for required testing and minor injuries. Since then, he has been let go.
