Following a suspected hit-and-run in the Central West of New South Wales that resulted in the death of a cyclist, a man will appear in court.
At approximately 11.10 a.m. on Monday, police were dispatched to Henry Lawson Way in Glenelg, which is approximately 19 km to the northwest of Grenfell, following reports of an unconscious biker.
After receiving treatment, the 67-year-old man passed away on the spot.
Yesterday, shortly before 3:30 PM, a 39-year-old male was taken into custody during a traffic check south of Forbes in response to questions.
According to police, the man was operating an Isuzu vehicle when the cyclist was struck and killed.
He was accused of failing to stop in a collision.
He will now appear in court today after being denied bail.
