In the hunt for a guy who vanished from Barangaroo after leaving a Sydney nightclub yesterday, a body has been discovered.
At approximately 3.30 am yesterday, a 26-year-old man was last seen on King Street Wharf at Darling Harbour.
He was reported missing to Mascot Police Station.
Around 12:45 p.m. today, a man’s body was discovered in the water after a thorough search involving divers and a police helicopter.
Although the body has not yet been officially recognized, according to the police, it is thought to be that of the 26-year-old man.
Before going missing, the man had been drinking with his companions at Bungalow 8 nightclub. Police received a missing person’s report at 6:00 p.m.
A search was launched by police from the air and in the water; it was abandoned after dark and carried out again this morning.
