A driver and passenger had to be pulled from the wreckage after two buses collided in Sydney’s southwest, trapping more than a dozen passengers, including a kid.
At 4:10 p.m. today, a sizable contingent of emergency services hurried to Campsie’s Seventh Avenue.
It is understood that before to colliding with another bus, one of the busses struck some parked cars on the street.
A passenger and one of the bus drivers were trapped inside.
To save the couple, firefighters forced open the shattered windscreen.
Both the 50-year-old with severe head injuries and the 70-year-old woman with critical head injuries were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
While at least 24 passengers received on-the-spot medical attention from paramedics, at least 13 individuals—including one child—have been sent to various hospitals.
It is unknown how many people were treated in total.
Because the large operation is anticipated to take a while, police have asked the public and drivers to avoid the area.
