A teenage teenager in Perth’s south is battling for his life after suffering a stomach stab wound.
Two men on motorbikes dumped the 16-year-old at Rockingham Hospital.
After being moved to Royal Perth Hospital, he is currently in the critical care unit.
According to the police, the altercation started at 9:40 p.m. yesterday on Bertram’s Mortimer Road when three guys riding motorbikes threatened two 14-year-old boys with knives.
The fight resulted in the theft of a scooter.
It seems that the same gang of men approached three more adolescents on Safety Bay Road in Baldivis two hours later.
One of the teenagers was wounded in the stomach by a knife during a fight.
Premier Roger Cook stated today that in an effort to reduce knife violence, Western Australia may soon have stop-and-search legislation enabling police to wand-search anyone at random for weapons.
While investigations are ongoing, police are requesting dash cam and CCTV footage of those locations.
