A woman’s body was discovered inside a wheelie bin on a remote road in Victoria, and police are now looking into the incident.
The body was found around lunchtime on a remote dirt road in Buckley, 30 minutes west of Geelong. It is thought to be that of Shwetha Madhagani.
Police flocked to Mount Pollock Road this morning, but the trash can stayed there for hours until detectives from the homicide squad showed up late this afternoon.
A neighbor informed me that the trash can narrowly avoided landing on his property by a few meters.
“I’ve never seen a wheelie bin laying in there and I go up and down here quite often shooting rabbits,” remarked Eric Lewis.
“It’s something Buckley’s never seen for a long time or ever.”
Police stated the crime scene was connected to another located in Point Cook, 86 kilometers away, but they did not corroborate basic information, such as the woman’s age.
According to neighbors, Madhagani was “a perfect woman and a perfect mother” who frequently cooked, shared, and welcomed others into her house, according to reporter Mark Santomartino.
The house on Mirka Way was constructed in 2016 by Madhagani and Ashok Raj, according to friends who attended.
They said that prior to authorities receiving an information regarding Madhagani’s whereabouts, Raj had taken a plane to travel to India with their son.
No one has been taken into custody by the police as of yet.
