A former federal Labour candidate has been accused of stalking a staff member. It is thought that the candidate was in a romantic connection with Queensland Attorney-General Yvette D’ath.
Michael Denton, the Labour candidate in the most recent election for the Petrie constituency, is accused of pursuing a lady employed by D’ath in order to harass, threaten, or abuse her.
As far as Mark News is aware, D’ath was dating Denton when he was allegedly stalking one of her employees.
No crime has been accused against D’ath, who was first made aware of the charge when earlier this week.
Mark News is aware that after learning of the charge, she quit the relationship right away.
The background of that relationship, according to sources, will play a role in the police case.
Denton is scheduled to appear in court again on March 11 but has not yet entered a plea or answered any inquiries on the case.
