Following an alleged kidnapping and assault on Thursday that resulted in arrests on Friday, a Brisbane woman has been described as “shaken and traumatised”.
Four guys are said to have driven a stolen Audi to the house on Cassowary Street in Doolandella before breaking and entering.
After allegedly being beaten inside the house, the 43-year-old woman was put in a car and driven to Forest Lake.
The males were allegedly carrying two weapons, a knife, and at least one gunshot, according to the investigators. They also claimed that there had been another attack.
Although her wounds were not life-threatening, the police reported that she was “significantly shaken and traumatised.”
Four men were arrested during a search warrant at a property on Jarvis Street, in Stafford Heights.
Two men, aged 18 and 20, have since been charged, while two others have been released.
Acting Inspector Michael Hogan, Assistant Regional Crime Coordinator, stated that “the best assumption at the moment was that it would be for money; the motives will become clearer as the investigation progresses.”
“Robberies are frequently committed with the intention of stealing money.
“We don’t believe they knew each other, but they knew of the address.”
The two guys faced numerous charges, ranging from kidnapping and extortion to torture, assault resulting in bodily harm, and armed robbery.
Given that two pistols and a knife were taken from the Jarvis Street residence, Hogan stated there is no danger to the general public.
The car that was taken has also been found.
Two males who the police suspect were engaged in the incident are still wanted.
