After a lady was allegedly abused in a Gold Coast casino on Monday, a police officer from New South Wales has been charged.
About 9:30 p.m., Queensland Police detained the man following reports that a female customer had allegedly been abused.
After being brought to the Southport Police Station, the 38-year-old was accused of common assault.
The officer was presumably assigned to a specialized command.
He is scheduled to appear in court on February 19 after being granted conditional bail.
An NSW Police statement states that the officer’s job status is “under review.”
