Last night, four people were saved from the choppy surf at Sydney’s Bondi Beach.
Around 7:30 p.m., authorities were summoned to the well-known tourist location following reports that several persons had been caught in a rip.
Following their near-drowning, two guys were taken to the hospital in a stable condition.
Without medical attention, the other two saved might go back to their homes.
NSW Ambulance Inspector Mike Corlis stated, “At first, we thought these people were in cardiac arrest, but lifeguards had already brought them from the water.”
“They were awake and one of them had been throwing up a lot. They were both taken to the hospital.”
Volunteers had been practicing close by when they heard a witness cry out for assistance, according to lifesaver James McLennan.
“It was a great effort from the team,” he stated.
Many of the young members there rushed right into being lifesavers.
“It was probably one of the first rescues they have done especially after patrol.”
