Following an accident earlier this week in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, a lady has been charged with attempted murder.
On Monday at 6 a.m. on The Great Western Highway in Katoomba, a bystander pulled a 31-year-old mother and a seven-year-old kid from the flaming wreckage of an automobile.
A truck and the automobile had collided.
The small child was in critical condition when she was evacuated to Westmead Children’s Hospital.
The driver, a woman, suffered burns to her legs and chest and was transported to Westmead Hospital.
The truck driver escaped the collision unharmed.
The woman was charged with attempted murder yesterday at Westmead Hospital after being detained by NSW police yesterday afternoon following an inquiry by the Crash inquiry Unit.
The woman will make her court appearance today at a bedside in Parramatta Local Court after being denied bail.
