A woman who vanished in the bushlands of NSW has been discovered alive.
Following her announcement to her family that she was leaving her campground in the Olney State Forest to fetch water, the 48-year-old went missing early on Monday morning.
When a family member couldn’t find her after going to the campsite to drop off food, they raised the alarm, which led to a police search.
According to authorities, she was discovered at a temporary encampment in the Olney State Forest late this afternoon.
The woman chose to walk to collect water on Monday after her Toyota Hilux 2WD became stuck in the brush over the weekend.
For the past month, she has been camping in the wilderness.
