After an intense police pursuit through the streets of southeast Queensland, a man wanted for multiple weapons and criminal crimes has been charged.
In Logan, near Brisbane, officers observed a purportedly stolen motorbike on Kingston Road in Springwood at approximately 6:50 p.m. on Saturday.
After the bike allegedly went on a three-hour joyride through four different suburbs, the police aircraft pursued it until it came to a stop on Crompton Road near Woodridge.
Around 10:30 p.m., the man allegedly approached two individuals who were in a parked automobile, threatened them with a knife, and demanded their car.
He allegedly took off in the vehicle, with the cops following closely behind.
Officers used a tyre deflation device and punctured all four wheels near the Old Gympie Road exit in Narangba after they had been eluding them for about an hour.
The moment the automobile stopped, police surrounded it, and they took the man into custody was captured on camera by a police aircraft.
The Eagleby resident, 30, was charged with three charges of illegal use of a motor vehicle, one offence of reckless driving, one count of theft, and one count of driving while banned.
In connection with an unconnected matter, he was additionally accused with assault resulting in bodily harm.
Tomorrow, the man is anticipated to appear in court.
