After a thorough search, the body of a 15-year-old kid who vanished at a waterhole on the north coast of NSW has been discovered.
At approximately 3 p.m. yesterday, reports of a teenage male missing after jumping from a rock ledge prompted the dispatch of emergency personnel to Angourie Green Pool, which is located 5 km south of Yamba.
When police arrived, Surf Lifesavers, police divers, and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter helped to start a search.
Around ten o’clock at night, the body of a teenage male was pulled from the river.
He is now officially recognised as the swimmer who went missing.
