A collision close to the NSW–Victoria border claimed the lives of two passengers, among them an 11-year-old kid.
Just after 1:30 PM today, the automobile is thought to have gone off the Murray Valley Highway in the Victorian town of Echuca, igniting a fire.
At the scene, a 26-year-old Moama resident, who lived on the other side of the border, passed away.
Both the 11-year-old boy and the 23-year-old driver from Echuca were taken to a hospital, but the youngster died later from his wounds.
The driver, according to the police, was stable and helping them with their investigations.
Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit were assigned to the case, although authorities stated it was yet unknown exactly what caused the collision.
