After his unit in Sydney’s north caught fire, an 80 percent burned guy is in critical condition in the hospital.
At 3:30 p.m. today, there were reports of a unit fire in Meadowbank, prompting the dispatch of emergency services.
When police came, they discovered a man in his 40s with severe burns, unconscious in a hallway.
Paramedics attended to him on the spot and then transported him to the hospital for more care.
Running hoses up the fire escape to the burning property was a difficult task for Fire and Rescue NSW, but they succeeded in putting out the fire.
Police have set up a crime scene while they look into what started the fire.
Before the flat caught fire, the residents claimed to have heard an explosion.
Approximately fifty residents had to leave.
