A mother and her infant have been discovered deceased in a north Perth residence.
One of the family members discovered the two this morning; they are thought to be a woman and her three-month-old child.
About 11.10 a.m., police were summoned to the house on Robinson Road in Morley, and a portion of the street was blocked off to the general public.
According to a statement from Western Australia Police, “an adult female and an infant child were located deceased upon arrival.”
“Major Crime Division detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the two deaths.”
While one neighbour reported hearing numerous sirens, another reported seeing six police cars and three ambulances.
The site was roped off by the authorities, who also took evidence bags with them.
According to neighbours, the people tended to keep to themselves.
“I’ve been here for 37 years and it’s always been quiet and we’ve had no drama,” a local stated.
