Following reports of a 19-year-old guy being shot in the leg outside a Melbourne strip club, two men, both 24 years old, have been taken into custody.
Just after four in the morning today, two men were fighting inside The Men’s Gallery on Lonsdale Street. The altercation then moved outside, where the gunman is said to have started fire.
The 19-year-old clubgoer was taken in stable condition to the Royal Melbourne Hospital after suffering a gunshot wound.
The Niddrie guy, according to Victoria Police, was not cooperating with the investigation.

“We’d like to have dinner served to this offender this upcoming Christmas in prison – that would bring a smile to our face.”
The venue’s staff expressed concern that customers were entering the club armed.
The club has been operating for 30 years and is “an iconic Melbourne brand like Moulin Rouge in Paris,” according to a statement from the venue’s owner, Peter Iwaniuk.
He expressed his belief that the perpetrators were acquainted.
“I believe the police will catch the offender quickly,” Iwaniuk stated.
