A man was bitten by a shark on a beach in Queensland, and the shark sent him to the hospital.
At 4.35 p.m. (5.35 p.m. AEDT), an ambulance raced to Sir Raphael Cilento Drive in the settlement of Seventeen Seventy, south of Gladstone.
The twentysomething man suffered a leg injury.
The man was transported in critical condition by paramedics to Bundaberg Hospital.
The event occurred a little more than a week after a man was mauled by a shark near the isolated Great Barrier Reef island of Clack Island.
The 21-year-old’s shoulder and bicep both have severe puncture wounds.
