Following the announcement of a $500,000 reward in connection with the case, the family of a lady who disappeared after accepting a lift from a stranger at a Sydney pub last year has made an appeal for information.
On November 28, 2022, at around ten o’clock at night, Jessica Zrinski, 30, was last seen getting into a Holden Commodore station wagon in the Greenfield Tavern parking lot in Greenfield Park.
Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty told the media this morning, “Jessica hasn’t been seen alive since that night,” and he also announced a $500,000 reward for information leading to her abduction.
About a week later, on December 3, the young woman’s relatives filed a missing person’s report.
New CCTV footage of Jessica’s movements that evening has been discovered as part of the police investigation.
On November 28, about 10.15 p.m., Zrinski was spotted at Horsley Park in the front passenger seat of a Holden Commodore.
According to police, the vehicle then proceeded up towards the Blue Mountains on the Great Western Highway and the M4 Motorway.
The vehicle was spotted at a Mount Victoria gasoline station at 8.50 a.m. the following morning.
Zrinski was spotted in the front seat of the car being driven by an unidentified male, according to footage.
The automobile drove down from the Blue Mountains the next day, according to police.
According to Doherty, the registered owner of the vehicle has been contacted by police, but he hasn’t offered any support.
Michelle Barton, Zrinski’s mother, expressed to the media this morning her hope that her daughter could be found.
“Living life without my baby girl Jess has been the most difficult pain I’ve ever had to endure,” Barton stated.
“I’ve loved her for her whole life, and I’ll miss her for the rest of mine.”
According to Doherty, the police are hoping that the $500,000 reward will incentivize anyone with information to come forward.
Doherty described Jessica as a “lovely young woman.”
“But because of her peculiar lifestyle, Jessica frequently got into cars of that kind.
“I don’t know why Jessica got into that vehicle that night and we have absolutely no idea what happened to her beyond that point, other than travelling up to the Blue Mountains.”
