In Queensland, there was a heated road rage incident that resulted in the police seeking for an alleged gunman who fired at another automobile.
Today, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Saleh Atasoy, a 37-year-old Oxenford resident who they suspect is responsible for the Gold Coast incident that occurred in Mermaid Waters.
Atasoy is the driver of an Isuzu D-Max, according to the police, who discharged a revolver at a Ford Ranger on Bermuda Street at approximately 2:40 p.m. on Friday before driving away.
Detective Senior Sergeant Simon Garrett stated that the victim saw Atasoy driving erratically and swerving in and out of traffic prior to the collision.
Ayasoy was seen to be “extremely agitated,” according to Garrett.
According to police, Atasoy fired the pistol into the side of the 53-year-old driver’s automobile.
“He eventually cut in front of (the victim) at the large roundabout, the drivers exchanged heated words,” said Garrett.
But in the middle of it, the driver pulled out a pistol and pointed it right at the other car’s driver.
“We believe that firearm was discharged and it struck the victim’s car, putting a bullet hole into the rear door on the driver’s side.”
During the incident, no one was hurt.
The public has been advised by the police that Atasoy is armed and regarded as dangerous.
