Charges have been brought against an off-duty police officer following an alleged attack in central Sydney.
At at 12.50 a.m., officers were called to Darlinghurst’s William Street in reference to an assault.
“A 26-year-old male constable attached to a specialist command was arrested at the scene and taken to Kings Cross Police Station,” the NSW Police stated in a statement.
“The man was charged with three counts of common assault and one count of common assault (DV).”
The cop was given bail and is expected to show up on Wednesday at the Downing Centre Local Court.
His employment is still being reviewed, and the situation is still being looked at.
