In the southwest of Sydney, four police officers kicked down a door to rescue the life of a guy who was in danger of dying in a house fire.
Today around 4:15 a.m., a Fairfield East home’s bedroom caught fire, trapping the guy inside the townhouse on Mitchell Street.
The man was discovered unconscious on the ground by the police officers after they kicked in the door, and they then removed him from the blazing house.
According to the officers had smoke inhalation, but they are stable now that they are out of the hospital.
In addition, the man inhaled smoke, and his health is still steady.
Residents of the nearby townhouses were evacuated as Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) put out the flames in 40 minutes, preventing them from spreading to neighbouring structures.
“The officers acted quickly to remove this man from danger, freeing him before the fire had a chance to push out from the room of origin to where he was located,” Adam Dewberry, superintendent of the FRNSW, stated.
“These actions likely saved the man’s life and are to be commended.” The fire’s origin is still a mystery. There are investigations going on.
