A man who was being pursued by police ran into a river teeming with crocodiles, and his body was later discovered.
Around 6 p.m. (AEST) on Thursday, the 36-year-old was discovered dead after he reportedly ran from police after a raid at a residence in the Far North Queensland city of Rockhampton.
Entering the Fitzroy River, a noted crocodile habitat, he leaped in.
