A man was shot in the leg and sent to the hospital in Sydney’s south this morning; a manhunt is now underway.
After being called to a parking lot for a shopping center in Sans Souci at around 5.45 am, emergency personnel discovered the 22-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The alleged gunman was pursued by a father and son into a parking lot on Rocky Point Road after they noticed a suspicious-looking Mercedes outside their Beverly Park house.
The pair pursued the vehicle for ten minutes before colliding and shooting the 22-year-old guy in the knee, according to NSW Police.
Superintendent Rohan Cramsie stated, “They observed a white vehicle acting suspiciously outside their residence and it drove off.
“It’s believed in that struggle a gun was produced and a round was discharged.”
The injured man received paramedic care before being transported to the hospital, where he is still being treated.
Police have formed a crime scene as they look into the situation further.
