After a 45-hour standoff with police on NSW’s Central Coast, a man has been charged.
At around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, when officers went to a home on Swansea’s Lake Road to speak with a 33-year-old man, the incident started.
The man allegedly entered the home and then resisted leaving, according to police.
According to a statement from NSW officers, “a perimeter was established and specialist police, including negotiators, were called to the scene.”
Up until Friday noon, when the man was arrested, police tried to communicate with him.
“Police seized eight firearms from the home including a sawn-off rifle, a shotgun, a lever action rifle and five pistols.”
He was accused of 35 offenses, including using an offensive weapon to avoid legal arrest, having a firearm that was not his, possessing a controlled substance, and having items that were possibly stolen on the property or in his possession.
