Following a deadly collision that claimed the life of a motorcyclist in Sydney’s north on Tuesday, a man has been prosecuted.
After reportedly colliding with the motorcycle and three cars on Pennant Hills Road in Normanhurst at approximately 11:45 a.m. yesterday, the driver of a Ford Ranger Utility was taken into custody.
The 59-year-old rider perished at the scene, and other vehicles involved in the collision included a Kia Carnival, a Lexus, and a Toyota Landcruiser.
After smashing through a brick wall, the motorcycle and ute took fire.
The 36-year-old driver of the Ford has been charged with five offenses, including two counts of causing bodily harm by misconduct while in charge of a motor vehicle, reckless driving resulting in death, and failing to stop at a red light.
He will appear at Hornsby Local Court today after being denied bail.
