Charges of historical child sexual assault and indecent assault have been brought against a former scout leader.
Detectives from Sydney’s north-west Riverstone Police Area Command began looking into claims in 2021 that a man had molested a teenage girl he knew between 2005 and 2006.
Additional accusations of suspected indecency against four young boys during the man’s tenure as a scout group leader between 1980 and the mid-1990s were received by police as part of ongoing investigations.

He was brought to the Riverstone Police Station, where he was charged with three charges of indecent assault on a male, one crime of inducing a person under the age of sixteen to do an indecent act, and one offense of engaging in sexual activity without permission.
Bail to appear in Blacktown Local Court today was denied to him.
