In the Perth suburb of Joondalup, a man has passed away after what authorities suspect to be a domestic violence-related stabbing.
Just before 9 o’clock on Thursday, police claimed they were called to a disturbance on Plaistow Street, where they discovered a man in his 30s with multiple serious stab wounds.
According to a statement from WA Police, “on arrival, officers located a man believed to be in his 30s with serious injuries.”
Staff from St. John Ambulance WA responded, but the man could not be revived.The Homicide Squad detectives are currently receiving assistance from a woman in her 20s with their inquiries.”It is thought that the man and woman are acquainted.”
Just under four hours later, a woman in her 30s needed hospital treatment for significant injuries sustained in a different alleged domestic violence incident in the Willagee district.
After locating the woman, authorities employed a police dog to locate and apprehend a man in the area.
The 33-year-old was detained and is helping the police with their investigation, according to WA Police. The man and woman are familiar with one another.
