After falling from a building site on Tuesday, a young tradesman perished.
Tyler Whitton, 17, fell from a building site at Victoria Street in Brisbane’s West End and sustained a severe head injury.
On Wednesday morning, the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital turned off his life support. On Thursday morning, his granddad posted on Facebook to confirm his passing.
It is understood that Whitton had just started working there.
Jack Whitton stated, “Today I say goodbye to my beloved beautiful grandson Tyler with a heavy heart and heartfelt sadness.”
He plummeted, although it’s unclear just how far. He fell 2.5 meters, according to paramedics, while his family claims he fell 4 meters.
After the event, he was transported to the hospital and put into an induced coma.
