After several automobiles and trash cans were set on fire overnight in Queensland, police are looking into the incident.
Following complaints of an attempted break-in, fire crews were dispatched to Grove Road near Edens Landing in Logan at around 3.40am.
Five automobiles on the nearby street of Holliday Drive were also on fire, in addition to a trashcan that was burning in the middle of the street.
Auto alarms and explosions awakened up Shantell Calcutt.
She hurried to warn the neighborhood’s residents of the threat at their front door.
According to Calcutt, “I ran down and I was just banging on their door saying ‘hello, hello wakeup, come out your car’s on fire.'”
There appeared to be explosions.Along with her neighbours on neighbouring Grove Road, who awoke to discover a guy attempting to break in through their back door, Calcutt’s trash can was also set on fire.
The man departed the area.The day has been spent by police and fire investigators trying to figure together any connections between the arson assaults that have left a trail of devastation.
Police are requesting witnesses and anyone with pertinent knowledge or vision to get in touch.
