After a house fire overnight in Sydney’s southwest, a 54-year-old man died.
After neighbors raised the alarm at the Punchbowl apartment building about 10 p.m., emergency personnel were summoned.
Officers arrived to find the apartment well ablaze.
A man who was found unresponsive inside the building was treated by paramedics from NSW Ambulance, however he passed away there and then.
Police have set up a crime scene and are looking into what started the fire.
