Just hours after being freed from prison, former Townsville priest Neville Creen was detained once more to answer to fresh accusations of indecent treatment.
The 83-year-old was sentenced to three months in prison in February for the 1969 indecent treatment and assault of a young girl.
After being freed from jail on Friday morning, Creen was promptly detained again and charged with 16 charges of indecently treating a youngster under 14 on Friday afternoon.
In Townsville, this is said to have happened between 1966 and 1972.
Creen spent the majority of Friday being kept at the Richlands Watch House, but his case will be heard on Saturday at the Brisbane Magistrates Arrests Court.
The judge acknowledged at Creen’s sentencing in May that it was possible that other victims will come forward since Creen had a history of committing harmful offences.
