A security guard was attacked at a Gold Coast retail center, and two juveniles, the youngest barely 13 years old, have been charged with attempted murder.
At around 7.45 am, police were summoned to Westfield Helensvale in response to complaints of a disturbance during which a 57-year-old male security guard had been stabbed.
He was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where his condition is critical but stable.

A stolen black Holden Trax was used by those involved to flee the area.
The Holden Trax, according to police, was allegedly stolen on August 24 when three men allegedly assaulted a woman and took her keys from a business parking lot on Mount Warren Boulevard in Mount Warren.
Around 8.35 am, the vehicle was stopped at Distillery Road in Beenleigh after police pursued it.
There were four people detained.
A 19-year-old male is accused of attempting to kill someone, robbing someone violently, breaking into a building, and using a car illegally.
A 13-year-old girl has been accused of trying to kill someone.
On Saturday, both will appear in court.
Police stated that more suspects “are anticipated to be charged over the next few days.”
