In a case of alleged domestic abuse in NSW’s northwest, a man has been charged with the death of another man.
Around 9.40 p.m. on Thursday, a woman reported what she believed to be a domestic violence incident at a residence on Catherine Street in Pilliga, 260 kilometers west of Tamworth.
According to a statement from NSW Police, “a 59-year-old man was found critically injured in the front yard when police arrived.”
“Paramedics from NSW Ambulance responded, but the man passed away at the scene.”
At the same home, a 25-year-old male was detained.
He was accused with murder, stalking/intimidating with the intent to fear physical harm, assaulting a police officer while they were performing their duties without actually inflicting bodily harm, and hindering or resisting a police officer while they were performing their duties.
He was denied bail, and today’s appearance in Tamworth Local Court is anticipated.
