In Melbourne’s inner suburbs, there was a possible stabbing that resulted in the hospitalisation of four persons.
After receiving numerous reports to triple zero of a “agitated man” who looked to have assaulted several individuals, police were rushed to Puckle Street in Moonee Ponds at around 1.15pm.
Local law enforcement and investigators detained the 36-year-old man close to the station.
In addition to two ladies in their 50s and 60s who were treated for upper body injuries, four people were sent to the hospital.
While a man in his 30s experienced upper body pain, a man in his 80s received modest medical attention.
All of them are in stable condition.
The man is currently being held and helping the police with their investigations.
Police are asking anyone with dashcam footage or who observed the event to come forward as they look into the circumstances surrounding it.
