After the little plane he was flying in South Australia collided with a horse, the pilot was seriously injured and is now in the hospital.
At approximately 9.20 a.m. today at Brentwood, on the York Peninsula, the aircraft is believed to have collided with the horse shortly after takeoff.
The 63-year-old pilot was critically hurt, but he and his 56-year-old passenger were able to flee the burning plane.
He is still there after being transported to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
The event is being looked into by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB).
The horse made it through the trauma.
