Yesterday evening, a guy in his 20s lost his life after his ute slid and crashed at a well-known Whitsundays beach.
Around 6.30 p.m. on Wednesday, the 24-year-old is said to have been travelling west along Dingo Beach when he lost control of the utility, causing it to roll over close to Earlando Road.
The Gregory River resident’s injuries are critical.
Despite their best attempts, emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the site.
A forensic crash unit is looking at it.
