In connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Townsville last week, a woman has been charged with murder.
In the early hours of July 12, according to police, the 32-year-old Jensen woman entered a home on Eleventh Avenue in Railway Estate and assaulted the 39-year-old Aurukun man severely before driving away in a car.
The victim had been stabbed in the chest when rescue workers arrived.
On the spot, he passed away.
The woman was taken into custody by homicide investigators yesterday at a house on Texas Road.
She has been remanded in custody to appear in court again on October 13 after being charged with one count each of murder, entering a residence with intent while in company at night, threatening violence, and deprivation of liberty.
Today’s arrests also included a 37-year-old Beach Holm man who is cooperating law enforcement.
