In the southeast of Perth, a 77-year-old man has been accused of sexually abusing a resident of a nursing home.
Police claim that the alleged predator went after the woman at Howard Solomon Residential Estate when he was supposed to be there to see someone else.
The victim was allegedly escorted to her room by the man, according to the police, before she was molested.
Soon later, the cops located the alleged predator after raising the alert.
The alleged sex attack at the Ferndale facility is not the first, according to police.
Armand Lutula Wema, a worker, was booked in January on multiple counts of allegedly abusing two women.
The facility is secure, the CEO assured 9News in a statement, and many visitors develop friendships with other residents and families during their visits.
A review from within has been started, and the Aged Care watchdog is also looking into the matter.
