In relation to a 13-year-old girl, a senior constable with the WA Police has been accused of child sex offenses.
The 48-year-old man was accused of 17 offenses by detectives from the Sex Assault Squad in connection with allegations made between 2009 and 2012.
After receiving a complaint, the regional WA officer was suspended pending the outcome of an investigation.
The 48-year-old is accused of engaging in sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl in 2009.
It is claimed that this went on until 2012.
Today, the defendant is scheduled to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court.
He is charged with persistent sexual behavior, six counts of penetrating a child, three counts of sexually penetrating a child under their authority, and seven counts of indecently dealing with a child between the ages of 13 and 16.
