The West Gate Bridge in Melbourne has two lanes again after a bus caught fire and caused chaos during rush hour.
All lanes had to be closed on Monday about 5.45 p.m., according to police, after the bus caught fire on the motorway.
Just before 7 o’clock, two lanes were once again available, although emergency services remained on the bridge due to the ongoing delays.
It’s unclear if anyone was on the bus when the incident occurred or if there are any injuries.
According to Fire Rescue Victoria, workers put out the fire 20 minutes after arriving, at 6:20 p.m.
It has not yet been determined what started the fire.
