After leading police on a chase through Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, two persons have been taken into custody.
Around 4.10 am today, the pair was first seen in Mount Waverley following an alleged burglary.
The two, according to police, were observed leaving the location on Gilby Road in a white Mitsubishi Express van that was reportedly stolen.
Before stopping it with stop sticks, police tracked the automobile through the suburbs of Burwood, Surrey Hills, and Camberwell with the help of the Air Wing.
Before losing control of a front wheel, the automobile proceeded to travel through Box Hill North and Blackburn North.
Shortly after the automobile came to a stop on Ringwood Street, a 43-year-old Hallam man and a 31-year-old Sandringham woman were both taken into custody.
The two are still being held and are helping the police with their inquiries.
