Police in Perth are looking into assault claims that occurred amid a confrontation between vegan demonstrators and the owner of the eatery who had barred them from his establishment.
Following a bad review from a plant-based customer, celebrity chef John Mountain of Fyre Restaurant barred vegans from his establishment. This is the second Sunday in a row that vegan activist Tash Peterson has challenged Mountain.
Before being tackled by a covert security officer, Mountain faced the protesters who were yelling pig sounds outside his eatery.
It’s admirable that she is fighting for what she believes in, but he admitted, “I’m not the right person to fight with.
The chef, according to Peterson, was “throwing” her around.
At the end of the day, she added, “it’s because this man is profiting from animal brutality and murder and he’s also glamourizing it that we’re going after this restaurant, not because they’re barring vegans — sure, that was possibly a reason that triggered it.
.”Do I believe I went too far? Without a doubt, most likely, but once more, I would stick by my principles,” he stated.
“I safeguarded my property, my company, and my team members and clients.
Mountain declared that he didn’t mind if he was accused of assault.
Seven days a week, “I’ll stand up in court,” he declared.
The dinner service went on despite the commotion outside.
