On the Central Coast of New South Wales, a woman was killed after being struck by a car whose driver, it is said, did not stop, sending her into the path of another vehicle.
The woman, who has not yet been officially identified, was allegedly hit by a car traveling south on Ocean Beach Road at Woy Woy at around 7.50 p.m., according to police.
The driver allegedly left the scene without stopping.
The woman was apparently propelled onto the road by the force of the collision, where she was struck by another vehicle.
Although paramedics arrived quickly to aid, the woman passed away there.
A man in his 50s driving the second vehicle pulled over to provide assistance.
Despite the efforts of police and paramedics, the woman passed away at the scene.
A required test was administered to the second driver at Gosford Hospital.
Police have searched a house on the Central Coast in an effort to identify the first car’s driver and have confiscated an automobile for forensic analysis.
