After a fire broke out in an inner Melbourne building and smoke filled the entire city, two adolescents were detained.
After 4 o’clock yesterday, emergency services were called to an abandoned warehouse on Clarendon Street in Southbank.
No one was hurt, and nobody was inside the building at the time.
At Southern Cross Station this afternoon, two boys, ages 13 and 15, from Little River and Safety Beach, were taken into custody.
The two are now aiding authorities in their investigations.
At this time, according to investigators, they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the event.
Until the area can be declared secure, Clarendon Street on the west side will stay closed between City Road and Whiteman Street.
