Two accusations of murder have been brought against the daughter of an elderly Adelaide couple in connection with their suspected poisoning deaths.
Following her arrest in Craigmore this morning, Raelene Polymiadis was charged with two charges of murder in connection with the passing of her aging parents, Brenda and Lynton Anderson.
The 62-year-old aged care provider allegedly intentionally gave the 94-year-olds medication on two separate occasions, one year apart, according to detectives.
Brenda and Lynton both had a questionable level of prescription medication in their systems, according to toxicology testing.
According to the police, Brenda’s condition rapidly worsened on March 12 of last year while she was at Noarlunga Hospital.
On March 16, she passed away at Flinders Medical Center after being transported there.
Lynton was found unresponsive at his Hackham home in April of this year by a caregiver; he was taken there and later passed away.
Polymiadis will most likely appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow after being denied police bail.
