Karl Stefanovic has disclosed that the juvenile crime wave engulfing areas of Australia has reached his home on Sydney’s posh north shore.
The Today host, his model/designer wife Jasmine, and their 3-year-old daughter Harper live on the Castlecrag property.
He made the disclosure while speaking with private security expert Anthony Schaepman on the crime surge in Melbourne.
He yelled, “Enough is enough!” This has occurred to both my family and I.Children have visited my home and engaged in activities. I have tapes of them. I recognize them.
“I must choose what I will do with it. Because the police can’t be everywhere at once, if I hadn’t had that vision, I wouldn’t have known what to do, and this would keep happening and happening. Only relatively minor offenses are involved.
The outspoken TV personality discussed the crippling effects teenage criminality has on families and expressed his concern that it is growing worse.
“Whenever the crime comes to their doorstep, whenever someone breaks into their car, whenever something happens that’s close to home, it has a tremendous psychological impact,” he claimed.
In May, Stefanovic sobbed as she spoke to families of those who had died as a result of adolescent violence during an emotive discussion about this issue.
According to Jim Keogh, a former Queensland police superintendent, the situation was the worst he had ever experienced in his 38-year career.

The elimination of bail restrictions, according to Mr. Keogh, is “one of the catalysts” for the issue.
