In the extreme western part of New South Wales, a man lost his life when a small plane collided with electricity wires and caught fire.
Emergency services were called to a property in Tilpa, 191 kilometres south-west of Bourke, in the state’s far west, according to the NSW Police, when a light aircraft allegedly collided with electricity wires and caught fire yesterday at around 12.10 p.m.
The 52-year-old pilot of the vehicle passed away there and then.
The incident’s circumstances are being investigated, according to authorities, who are assigned to the Central North authorities District.
