Police shot a man multiple times at a residence in Bray Park, north of Brisbane.
Following allegations of a domestic incident involving a man and a woman, police were summoned to the Burkwell Court property at around 12.30 p.m.
Police are accused of shooting the 45-year-old guy, who was then transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
There were people residing at the address at the time of the incident, according to Detective Inspector Ben Fadian.
He stated that the victim of the shooting resided in Burkwell Court.
In terms of that person’s behaviours and activities, “the circumstances of today’s incident may form part of a further investigation down the road,” Fadian added.
Lyn, a neighbour, reported hearing three different gunfire at 12:42 p.m.
“I heard it, three very quick gunshots – bang, bang, bang,” she remarked.
The Crime and Corruption Commission will supervise the investigation by the Ethical Standards Command.
